Delete your Meddor account
You can delete your Meddor account at any time, from the app or by email. This page explains what gets erased, what stays, and for how long.
From the app
- Open the Household tab.
- Tap Account.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap Delete my account, then Delete.
- On the final confirmation, tap Delete permanently.
Deletion is immediate and can’t be undone. If you signed in with Apple, Meddor’s access is also removed from your Apple account.
Without the app
Email [email protected] from the email address of your Meddor account and ask for it to be deleted. We do it within 30 days at most and reply once it’s done. We will never ask for your password.
What gets erased
- Your account: your email address, your first name, your password and your session.
- Your place in the household, the invitations you created and the sitter access you gave.
- If you’re the only person in your household: the whole household — the pets, their health record (treatments, doses, vaccines, parasite treatments, weigh-ins, symptoms, heat cycles, vet visits), food, appointments, tasks, notes, places, photos, documents and portraits.
- Your phone’s registration for reminders sent by the server, and the count of your automatic readings.
What stays
- If other people share your household, the record stays theirs: the pets, their health record, the photos and the documents are kept for them; if you created the household, it passes to the person who joined it first. Notes, tasks and doses you logged there stay, without your name. If you want this shared record erased too, agree on it with the other members and email us: we erase it entirely, files included.
- The log of sensitive operations (creating a pet, a treatment, a checkup): one line per operation, with its date and the account’s technical ID, without the content. It is kept for the security of the service: each line is kept for one year, then erased.
- Foods you added to the catalog (name, brand, analysis) stay in the shared catalog, detached from your household.
- At our service providers: OpenAI may keep images and text sent for automatic reading for up to 30 days (its API terms); Sentry keeps error reports — with no name or email, some with the account’s technical ID — for its retention period (90 days at most); automatic database backups disappear as they are replaced.
Deleting only part of your data
Without deleting your account, you can delete a pet from its profile — its health record, photos, documents and portraits go with it — and a treatment, a weigh-in, a note, an appointment or a document from its screen — a document goes with its image. For any other request about your data, email [email protected]. What we store is detailed in the privacy policy.
